What shipping costs

Shipping is one flat rate per order, whatever the size of the cabinet. A single element and a five-column wall cost the same to ship. You see the exact amount at checkout before you pay, so there is no surcharge per column and no bill afterwards.

The rate is charged once per order, not per box.

Where we ship

At present we ship within the European Union. Other markets, including the United Kingdom, Switzerland and Norway, will follow.

Within the European Union, the amount at checkout is the amount you pay. There is nothing to settle on delivery.

Orders to countries outside the European Union are arranged individually. Write to info@ophon.eu and we will quote the whole thing before you commit: the cabinet, the freight, and an estimate of the import VAT and customs charges your own country will levy. Those import charges are paid to the carrier on delivery rather than to us, and they are not included in our price.

When it ships

The delivery time on the product page is the one that applies to your order. It is not a general promise we made up: it is worked out from what is actually on the shelf at the workshop at that moment, for the exact size and finish you picked, and it changes during the day as stock does. So the number you see when you order is the number we are working to.

Three things set it:

In stock. The parts for your cabinet are on the shelf and it goes out in the next weekly run.
Painted to order. Spray-painted cabinets are painted in your colour after you order and ship within 7 working weeks.
Made from scratch. If the parts are not in stock, your cabinet is made for you. Reckon on about six working weeks.

Cabinets leave the workshop once a week. An order placed before Monday morning is in that week's run; after that it waits for the next one. That is the whole reason the same cabinet can say seven days one day and fourteen the next, and it is why the product page is a better guide than any general promise.

How it arrives

Your cabinet ships as one box per column. A five-column wall therefore arrives as five manageable boxes rather than one impossible crate, and it gets through a normal doorway and up a normal staircase. Inside: pre-drilled panels and numbered parts. The hardware for the whole order comes in one bag, packed with the tallest column.

Everything is shipped tracked and insured. If something arrives damaged, that is our problem and not yours: send a photo to info@ophon.eu and we sort it out. You never have to deal with the carrier yourself.

Delivery is to your address only. We have no shop and no showroom, so there is nowhere to collect an order, and the address on our contact page is an office and not a pick-up point.

If it is late

If we cannot meet the delivery time you were shown, we tell you what the new date is. If that does not work for you, you can cancel the order and get your money back.
